Never A Dull Moment (2002)
Tommy Lee
Tommy Lee met his first wife, Heather Locklear (of Dynasty and Melrose Place fame) at an REO Speedwagon concert.
Tommy Lee
Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx were founding members of Motley Crue, a band that took the credo “Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’Roll” to dizzying heights in the 1980s. Almost as spectacular as his concert antics (one tour stunt involved an acrobatic drum kit that elevated and rotated over the stage while Lee continued bashing away) were his celebrity marriages – to Heather Locklear in the ’80s and Pamela Anderson in the ’90s. The most lurid episode of the Anderson era was an incident in which a video tape the couple had made of themselves having sex was stolen and surfaced on the internet. The most sobering incident occurred when Lee wound up in jail after Anderson accused him of hitting her in front of their children. Lee spent several months behind bars at which time he and Anderson divorced. The couple then reconciled after his release, but broke up again. During Lee’s prison stretch, he decided to leave Motley Crue, which he did immediately following the band’s 1999 Greatest Hits tour. That same year Lee formed a rap-metal outfit, Methods of Mayhem, which released a self-titled album shortly after which it hit the road. After the departure of frontman TiLo, Lee decided to pursue his post-Crue music endeavors as a solo artist. He has also contributed to albums by other artists including Stuart Hamm, Nine Inch Nails and Rob Zombie.
