Buckcherry

And the band played on. Oh, what a night it was! The last time Buckcherry joined us on ROCKLINE was for our twenty-fifth anniversary last October. We had the reason, make that an excuse and the guys brought the goods, regaling us with a 40 minute live set that we are still buzzing about. As the saying goes, it was the most fun you could have with your clothes on and now that we think about it, we’re not sure everyone did keep everything on. It was not only a great way for us to celebrate something special, it was also a celebration of the return of one of the earthiest, funkiest, down and dirty bands in Rock. It isn’t just a matter of jacking up the volume either, there’s a lot of talent in this band, especially with the current configuration. It’s very clear that not only do they play well together; they genuinely enjoy each others company, something that comes in really handy when you’re on the road so much. Buckcherry has certainly logged some miles in support of their strong comeback album “15”. The band shows no signs of slowing down either as they are booked into the middle of September combining headline shows and gigs with Hinder and Papa Roach. The party rolls on. Dates are at Buckcherry.com and MySpace.

There’s no pretense with Buckcherry. They come to rock and to make sure there’s as much fun in the audience as there is on stage and with the way they play there’s plenty to go around. Beyond their raise a glass and have a good time vibe that is what the band is all about, the level of musicianship they possess is world class. Keith Nelson is one of the best and certainly underrated guitarists around and Josh Todd treats his trademark voice like a Stradivarius. He’s been known to warm up for a good hour or so, someplace where he can get away and let it rip in preparation for the upcoming show…maybe even over an hour….actually, maybe an hour and a half someplace, like, oh, say the ROCKLINE bathroom. (Josh, we loved it, it's ROCKLINE lore now). We’ll play some of the earlier songs just to make sure everybody gets lit up, add in a song or two from last fall’s incendiary performance and 2 or 3 from “15”. Of course, we’ll let you help conduct the interview. After all it is ROCKLINE.

Stay up late, get your dancin’ shoes on and join the party with Josh and Keith from Buckcherry on the next ROCKLINE!
